The “Autumn Spartakiad 2026” of the School of Physical Education at the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE) was successfully held on October 3 at the athletics stadium in Nalaikh District. The event aimed to record students’ athletic achievements, increase their participation and engagement in sports, promote a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen teamwork, friendship, and unity among students.
Approximately 350 first- to fourth-year students from the School of Physical Education participated in the Spartakiad, competing in various track and field events, including running, jumping, and throwing disciplines. The students demonstrated their speed, strength, agility, and athletic skills in a highly competitive and well-organized event.
The opening ceremony was officially launched by G. Battsetseg, Head of the Academic Program Office of the School of Physical Education. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of regular participation in physical activity and sports, maintaining good health, and fostering unity and teamwork among students. She also wished all participants great success in the competition.
As part of the Spartakiad, male and female athletes competed in the 100 m, 400 m, and 3,000 m races, shot put, long jump, and relay events, with the top performers determined in each category.

Following the final results, it was decided that students who placed first in each event would be awarded the Director’s Scholarship. This initiative is expected to play an important role in recognizing students’ academic and athletic achievements while encouraging greater participation and initiative.
Based on the overall team standings, BTB 1-2, supervised by Dr. Narantungalag, won first place, while BTB 1-1, supervised by Dr. B. Bat-Otgon, placed second, and BTB 1-3, supervised by Ts. Munkh-Kherlen, finished third. The winning teams were awarded trophies and cash prizes.
In addition, students from the third-year Sports Journalism class, supervised by Dr. and Associate Professor S. Gantsetseg, covered the competition through photography and video production. They also prepared news and media content for the MNB Sports channel, online platforms, and social media, providing students with a valuable opportunity to apply and further develop their professional knowledge and practical skills in a real-world setting.
The “Autumn Spartakiad 2026” concluded successfully as a meaningful event that not only enhanced students’ athletic skills, endurance, and teamwork, but also encouraged them to spend their leisure time in a healthy and productive way while strengthening friendship, cooperation, and a sense of community among students.
