“RECOGNIZE THE RISKS, PROTECT YOUR FUTURE” TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED

A training session entitled “Recognize the Risks, Protect Your Future” was successfully organized today for first-year students of the School of Physical Education at the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE).

The training aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of how to recognize signs of crime, misconduct, domestic violence, and other potentially risky situations, as well as how to prevent them. It also sought to promote legal awareness, responsible behavior, and positive attitudes among students.

During the training, Police Major D. Lkhagvasuren, Senior Specialist in Charge of Crime Prevention at the 1st Police Division of Sukhbaatar District, and Police Captain G. Misheel, Senior Specialist in Domestic Violence Prevention, provided professional information, practical guidance, and recommendations to the students.

RECOGNIZING RISKS IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL FOR PROTECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS

As young people enter university, they face increasing responsibilities to make independent decisions, adapt to a new environment, and engage in a wide range of social interactions. Along with these changes, they may encounter situations involving crime and misconduct, peer pressure, online risks, violence, and other forms of unlawful or harmful influence.

Therefore, rather than responding to risks only after they occur, it is essential for young people to develop the ability to recognize potential risks in advance and make informed and responsible decisions. Knowledge of prevention not only helps students protect their own safety and well-being but also enables them to support their friends, peers, families, and others around them and to seek appropriate assistance when necessary.

For students pursuing studies in physical education and sports, discipline, ethics, responsibility, and respect for others are inseparable from professional competence. Therefore, developing an understanding of crime prevention and fostering a zero-tolerance attitude toward violence from the beginning of university life are important not only for creating a healthy and safe learning environment but also for strengthening the ethical values and social responsibility of future professionals.

The training was organized by the Department of Individual Sports and the Ethics Committee of the School of Physical Education, in cooperation with the Crime Prevention Unit of the 1st Police Division of Sukhbaatar District.
