Guest Lecture on “The Development of Sports Management in Japan”

On September 23, 2026, Professor Tomoaki Seki of the Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan, delivered a guest lecture entitled “The Development of Sports Management in Japan” to faculty members and students of the School of Physical Education at the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE).

Professor Seki conducts research in management, education, and the humanities and social sciences of sport, with particular interests in sports organizations, sports management, and the social value of sport and education.

The Muroran Institute of Technology, located in Muroran, Hokkaido, Japan, is a national university specializing in engineering, technology, science, education, and research.

During the lecture, Professor Seki shared his knowledge and experience on the development of sports management in Japan, organizational management, leadership, and the relationship between sport and education.

As modern sport increasingly requires effective management, strategic planning, human resource development, marketing, organizational leadership, and high-quality sports services, the lecture provided a valuable opportunity for faculty members and students to broaden their understanding of sports management and learn from Japan’s experience.
