Mongolian Official Successfully Completes Asian Photo Finish Judges Course

The Asian Athletics Association organized a Photo Finish Judges Course in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 2 to 4, 2026.

Representing Mongolia, Mr. E. Baatarsuren, a lecturer at the School of Physical Education of the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE), a Board Member of the Mongolian Athletics Federation, and Chairman of its Judges Council, successfully completed the course.

The course was conducted by Janet Nixon of Australia, a World Athletics Gold Level Official, and brought together athletics officials from 12 Asian countries.

Photo finish technology plays a vital role in athletics competitions by accurately determining athletes’ finishing order and times. The course was designed to enhance the professional knowledge and technical skills of officials responsible for operating and interpreting photo finish systems in accordance with international standards.

Mr. Baatarsuren’s participation in the program represents an important step in strengthening the capacity of Mongolian athletics officials and supporting the continued development of athletics competitions in Mongolia in line with international best practices.
