MONGOLIAN ATHLETES DEPART FOR THE 22ND ASIAN U20 ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Mongolian national athletics team has departed for Hong Kong to participate in the 22nd Asian U20 Athletics Championships, which will take place from May 28–31 at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground in Hong Kong.

Representing Mongolia at this prestigious continental event are students from the School of Physical Education of the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE).
Second-year student B. Munkhunkhuyag, majoring in “Teacher Methodology,” will compete in the men’s 400-meter sprint and 400-meter hurdles events. First-year student S. Batzorig, majoring in “Physical Education Teaching,” will compete in the men’s 200-meter and 400-meter sprint events.

The Mongolian national team will be led by B. Narmandakh, Head of the Department of Sports Professional Theory and Methodology at MNUE’s School of Physical Education.

The Asian U20 Athletics Championships, first established in 1986, is one of Asia’s premier youth athletics competitions, bringing together the continent’s most talented young athletes. This year’s championship is expected to feature competitors from more than 40 Asian countries.

The participation of MNUE students at this high-level international competition highlights the growing success of Mongolia’s young athletes and the university’s continued contribution to the development of national sports.
