OUR UNIVERSITY AT THE ULAANBAATAR MARATHON

The “Ulaanbaatar Marathon” international running event was first organized in 2014 with the aim of promoting mass sports participation and a healthy lifestyle. Today, it has grown into one of the largest sporting events in Mongolia. Bringing together thousands of runners from Mongolia and abroad each year, the marathon plays an important role in promoting endurance, unity, and the values of healthy living among the public.This year’s “Ulaanbaatar Marathon 2026” attracted more than 46,000 registered participants, making it one of the most highly attended marathons in recent years.

Representing our university at the “Ulaanbaatar Marathon 2026,” Dr. Ph.D B. Narmandakh, Head of the Department of Sports Professional Theory and Methodology, served as the Chief Judge. Dr. Ph.D A. Amgalan and E. Baatarsuren, lecturers of the Department of Individual Sports, worked as timekeeping judges, while lecturer S. Gantsetseg from the Department of Sports Professional Theory and Methodology, together with 10 students, served as checkpoint judges. Their dedicated work made a valuable contribution to the successful organization of the marathon.

In the 10 km race category, E. Khongozul, a third-year student majoring in Physical Education Teaching Methodology, won the bronze medal, while M. Saikhanzaya, a first-year student majoring in Physical Education Teacher Education, achieved an impressive 15th place finish.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation and congratulations to all teachers and students who actively participated in the Ulaanbaatar Marathon and proudly represented our university. We wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
