OPENING CEREMONY OF THE MONGOLIAN STUDENT SPORTS FESTIVAL
The opening ceremony of the Mongolian Student Sports Festival, held every two years, took place at the Central Sports Palace.
Officials including Sh. Amarsaikhan, Sports Advisor to the President of Mongolia and member of the organizing committee of the 7th Mongolian Student Sports Festival, along with D. Bayasgalan, President of the Mongolian Student Sports Association, attended the ceremony and officially opened the event. In his speech, D. Bayasgalan emphasized:
“The Mongolian Student Sports Festival is a significant event that contributes greatly to the development of student sports at both national and international levels. We will also organize the participation of athletes selected from this festival in the upcoming Winter and Summer ‘Universiade’ World University Games next year.”
In the 7th festival, a total of 2,461 athletes from 31 universities are competing in the final stage across 14 sports disciplines. The festival is being held from March 6 to May 8 across 15 sports halls and venues. So far, medalists have been determined in cross-country skiing, table tennis, and taekwondo. Athletes from the Mongolian National University of Education have currently won 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
