Baasanjargal Narankhishig, a student enrolled in the JUMP Program at the School of Physical Education of the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE), won a bronze medal in the women's -63 kg jiu-jitsu category at the 20th Asian Games, held in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan.

Narankhishig, an International Master of Sport and a member of the Mongolian national jiu-jitsu team, achieved this remarkable result through outstanding determination, technical skills, and competitive performance, bringing pride and recognition to Mongolia and the Mongolian National University of Education.

The jiu-jitsu competition took place at the Budokan Sports Hall in Nagoya. During the tournament, Narankhishig defeated Aksarapak Sirimak of Thailand and Nguyen Thi Minh Vuong of Vietnam to advance to the semifinals, where she faced Alexandria Luz Enriquez of the Philippines.

In the bronze medal match, Narankhishig secured a decisive 2–0 victory over Andrea Lois Lao of the Philippines, earning her place on the Asian Games podium.

In the women's -63 kg division, Orapa Senatham of Thailand claimed the gold medal, while Alexandria Luz Enriquez of the Philippines earned silver. Baasanjargal Narankhishig of Mongolia and Marian Zhuravleva of Kazakhstan received bronze medals.

This achievement represents another significant milestone in the history of Mongolian jiu-jitsu. Mongolia has participated in the Asian Games jiu-jitsu competitions three times, successfully winning a medal at each edition. At the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games, Ts. Udval secured Mongolia's first bronze medal in the sport. This achievement was followed by M. Davaadorj, who earned bronze at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. With Narankhishig's success at Aichi–Nagoya 2026, Mongolia has now won its third Asian Games bronze medal in jiu-jitsu.

Narankhishig is currently studying through the JUMP Program at the School of Physical Education, Mongolian National University of Education, and represents Arvijikh Gan Engineering LLC as an athlete. Her coach, O. Bold-Erdene, played an important role in her preparation and competitive success, providing professional guidance and support throughout her training and competition.

This outstanding accomplishment reflects Narankhishig's dedication, perseverance, and continuous hard work, as well as the professional expertise and commitment of her coach. It also highlights the ability of MNUE students to compete successfully at major international sporting events while pursuing their academic education.

The School of Physical Education at MNUE is committed to developing highly qualified professionals in physical education and sports, supporting talented student-athletes, and integrating academic education with high-performance athletic training. Narankhishig's success at the Asian Games is a source of great pride for the entire university community and serves as an inspiration to future generations of student-athletes.
